Changing Your Email Password Print

  • 0

There are 2 different ways that you can change the password for your email account.

Option 1: Change it through Webmail

The first, and most commonly used method, is by logging into your account via webmail.  If you are unsure how to do that, please go to this article and read these instructions.  After you have logged into webmail you will see a button in the bottom-left corner of the window that says "Change Password."  Click on that link and you will be able to reset your password to any password you like as long as it meets the criteria the server has in place.

Option 2: Change it through your Hosting Control Panel

If you are the administrator of your hosting account and have a login for OnTheCloud.co, you have access to cPanel, which is the control panel for your website and email hosting account.  You can login to that cPanel account and change any password for any email account in your hosting account.  If you are unsure how to get access to your hosting control panel, please see this article.  After you have logged in, click on the link that says "Email Accounts."  You will see a list of all email accounts in your hosting account and a button next to each that says "Change Password."  Click on that link next to the account you want to change and change the password to whatever you like as long as it complies with the password criteria of the server.
