Should you desire, you may transfer your domain away from OnTheCloud.co.  We would certainly hope you would reconsider and would love to talk with you about why you're transferring away prior to you moving forward with it.  However, if you do not want to stay with OnTheCloud.co to support wonderful non-profits, please read the following...

Q: Will OnTheCloud.co provide any support or assistance for transferring away?

A: Yes, absolutely!  All support requested for domains transferring away from OnTheCloud.co is glady given and charged at a rate of $125 per hour with a minimum of 30 minutes per incident, per phone call or email support ticket.  A valid credit card must be present on your file before we will be able to offer any type of support.

Q: Do I have everything I need available to me through my web account with OnTheCloud.co?

A: Yes!  There is no information for any of your domains with us that we can provide through a support ticket or via the phone that you cannot retrieve by logging into your account through OnTheCloud.co.  Please ask the registrar you are transferring to what information they need so you know exactly what you're looking for on our website.

Q: How do I unlock my domain and retrieve my EPP code from OnTheCloud.co?

A: Please follow these steps to retrieve your EPP/Authorization Code from OnTheCloud.co...

  1. Go to OnTheCloud.co and login.
  2. Click on "Domains" > "My Domains"
  3. Find the domain you want to transfer and click "Manage"
  4. Select "Registrar Lock" and click "Disable Registrar Lock"
  5. To obtain the EPP code, click on "Management Tools" and then "Get EPP Code"

The EPP Code will be emailed to the registrant email account associated with this domain.  That email address is not necessarily the same as the email address of your OnTheCloud.co login or the email address of the master OnTheCloud.co login.

Q: What is an EPP Code?

A: An EPP Code, also known as an AuthInfo Code, is a code that's attached to each domain that keeps it secure.  The only time you will need an EPP Code for your domain is when you're transferring your domain from one regisrar to another.  Think of it like a password - in order for your domain to be successfully transferred from one place to another, you will need to retrieve that code from your current registrar and provide it to the registrar you're moving the domain to.

Q: Should I write my EPP Code down somewhere in case I need it later?

A:No. EPP Codes are changed regularly by the domain authority and they expire after a certain period of time.  Once you're ready to transfer your domain you can request it and store it then.  Keep a copy of that code until the domain has been successfully transferred.  After that point you won't need it any longer.

Q: Can I see what contact info is associated with my domain and can I change it?

A: The answer is yes to both questions, however you should be aware of this...  Due to ICANN restrictions, your domain will be locked at OnTheCloud.co for 60 days if you change any of the contact information on your domains.  This is non-negotiable and is not a restriction that OnTheCloud.co has any control over.  Be aware of this prior to changing account settings and contact information anywhere in your account.

To find what contact information is on your domain or to change it, please do the following...

  1. Go to OnTheCloud.co and login.
  2. Click on "Domains" > "My Domains"
  3. Find the domain you want to transfer and click the arrow next to "Manage"
  4. Click on "Edit Contact Information"

Again, if you change any of this contact information, your domain cannot be transferred away from OnTheCloud.co for 60 days following the change.

Q: I don't have access to the admin email address associated with my domain.  What can I do?

A: The only option you have is to change the email address on file in our system using the process above.  This will lock the domain at OnTheCloud.co for 60 days.  After the 60 days is up, you may retrieve the EPP Code and transfer the domain away.  EPP Codes cannot be supplied to you any other way than by sending it to the administrator email we have on file.

Q: Will OnTheCloud.co transfer my domain to another service for me?
